2011 N.C. 3A Football Power Ratings

Last updated: Sunday, December 4, 2011 - final ratings

These ratings are based on several factors, including win-loss record, schedule
strength, and margin of victory in games.  The most recent games are counted 
with slightly more emphasis than those played earlier in the season.  Forfeits
and games against non-NC teams are reflected in the records, but are not
included in the power ratings.

Notes: 

1) 3A St. Stephens gained a forfeit win over 2A Maiden due to use of an 
ineligible player.
2) 3A Freedom has been banned from this year's playoffs due to having too many
ejections for fighting.
3) 3A Ledford has gained a forfeit victory over 2A Central Davidson due to use
of an ineligible player.
* After the conclusion of the 2011 season, it was found that 3A Hickory had
used an ineligible player during the entire season, forcing them to forfeit all
of their wins.  The following 3A teams gained a forfeit victory: Statesville, 
North Gaston, Hibriten (twice), St. Stephens, and Fred T. Foard.
